Boy discovers microbe that eats plastic

PhDs have been searching for a solution to the plastic waste problem, and this 16-year-old finds the answer.

    This phenomenon was found about 20 years ago by an Englishman (in Lancs, I believe) and reported on BBC Northwest who was experimenting with different compost mixtures, although he never developed the specifics to this level; he also stumbled on several other environmental remedies which he documented.
